Visit the Gardens

The Waitaki Community Gardens includes edible and decorative garden beds, extensive orchards and food forest as well as native plantings and an education hub.

Visitors are always welcome to explore the grounds located on Chelmer Street in Oamaru between the Oamaru Public Gardens and the Dog Park, across from the Waitaki Resource Recovery Park (Recycling Centre).

Pedestrian access from the East is via the A2O track and from the West via the shared parking lot with the Dog Park. Vehicle access into the gardens is only available when staff are on site.
